As Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger adjust to life in the wake of their separation, the former couple won't be short on distractions in the coming months.

Despite a struggle with Lyme disease that had temporarily put her career on the back burner, Lavigne returned to the stage with Taylor Swift in late August and has three projects in the works.

Meanwhile, the Nickelback frontman is taking an extended break from performing following vocal surgery.

Her Clothing Line

Ever the chic rocker, Lavigne has been known for her edgy style as much as her music since "Complicated" skyrocketed up the charts in 2002. Over a decade later, she has relaunched her clothing line Abbey Dawn. The online collection Moncler Sale includes graphic t-shirts, tank tops, and sweatshirts for men and women.

Her Movie

Lavigne has already been a rock-pop princess, and now she is gearing up to play a royal in Charming. The animated movie finds Lavigne voicing Snow White and starring alongside Demi Lovato (Lenore), Ashley Tisdale (Cinderella), and Chinese singing sensation G.E.M. (Sleeping Beauty). Lovato has the lead role, while the other stars play princesses who discover they're set to marry the same Prince Charming. The comical spin on classic fairy tales is expected to be released in 2016.

Her Music

With a new Christmas album on the horizon, Lavigne is making moves to return to the music spotlight. Most recently, she performed with Swift at the pop star's San Diego concert in late August. The 1989 tour cameo made the Canadian singer a trending topic on Facebook.

Lavigne kicked off her new musical era in April, releasing "Fly" in support of the Special Olympics. The triumphant ballad was showcased at the World Games opening ceremony in July, when Lavigne took the mic in her first performance since sharing her Lyme disease battle with PEOPLE in April.

A cyst was found on Kroeger's voice box in June, forcing Nickelback to cancel their remaining No Fixed Address world tour in support of their studio album of the same name. As a result, Kroeger was placed on vocal rest and underwent surgery.

In a statement released online in August, the rock group said Kroeger's recuperation was expected to take anywhere from six to nine months. "Most of all, we are sorry to miss our fans out on the road this fall, but Chad's health, healing and full recovery are what is most important right now," the statement read. "With the proper amount of time, we hope to have him back stronger and better than ever before."
