Tools and Materials Needed:
New cabin air filter (make sure it's compatible with your Honda Accord model and year)
Screwdriver (Phillips or flat-head)
Clean cloth or vacuum cleaner (optional)
Procedure:
Locate the Cabin Air Filter Housing:
The cabin air filter is typically located behind the glove compartment on most Honda Accord models.
Open the passenger-side front door and cabin air filter locate the glove compartment.
Remove Items from the Glove Compartment:
Empty the glove compartment of any items that may be inside.
Open the Glove Compartment:
Open the glove compartment door.
Remove the Glove Compartment Stopper:
On the right side of the glove compartment, you'll see a stopper or damper arm. Carefully push or unclip it to allow the glove compartment to swing down further.
Unscrew or Unclip the Glove Compartment:
Depending on your Honda Accord model, there may be screws securing the glove compartment to the dashboard. If so, use a screwdriver to remove them. Some models have clips instead; in this case, carefully unclip the glove compartment from its hinges.

Put the housing cover back on and secure it with the screws or clips.
Reattach the Glove Compartment:
Lift the glove compartment back into place and reattach it by securing the screws or clipping it back onto the hinges.
Replace the Glove Compartment Stopper:
Reattach the glove compartment stopper or damper arm.
Close the Glove Compartment:
Close the glove compartment door.
Check the Airflow:
Before you're finished, turn on the car's HVAC system and ensure that the air is flowing properly through the new cabin air filter.
