Hello,

I was thinking of giving a Google Home device as a Christmas present. Can a Google Home device work for a person who only has a desktop PC? Perhaps with an extension for Chrome?

Unfortunately not -- the only way to setup Home at this time is via the Android or iOS Google Home app.
