Anyone use a VPN? Anyone recommend them? After hearing a lot about them recently I considered it until I realised they were both paid for and had all your details going to the VPN company, rather than an anonymous unscrupulous shyster. Are these the front for data harvesting they seem like to me, or are they worthwhile?

I'm currently having IP issues accessing a specific website, so that's the main reason for my sudden interest.

Yeah I thought I'd seen a thread about them at one point and went looking, but there was nothing within the last year so I made this.

I can't imagine even a day without a VPN. It helps me out every day. It often happens that I have a problem accessing this or that site because of my Ip address. That is where VPN helps me. I also understand how important it is to pay attention to your security on the Internet today because most of our data can be at risk. I started using proxy servers because I find them more convenient than a regular VPN. I have to use different proxies to access different sites and different resources. However, I found a website with an updated list of reliable proxy servers, avoidcensorship.org. It is essential to understand that today the security of our data online comes first.
