Nike has begun the year with a favor to its fans. After releasing a reincarnation of the
nike air max 1 femme pas cher dubbed “The 6” last week, the brand has decided to gift fans of the now sold-out shoe with another release just for them. Announced Monday, the Nike Air Max 1 “Black/White/Smoke” serves as the follow-up for those who couldn’t get their hands on the shoe honoring the city of Toronto, Canada. The updated version of the silhouette will feature a nearly identical colorway to its original release. Employing a perforated black upper, gray midsole, and white bottom sole, the updated version elects to dismiss the original milky Air Max heel construction and replaces it with a clear gel. A 3M reflective surface also serves as a new feature for the silhouette.
Nike never forgets about its roots, even as it continues to evolve. They stay true to that statement by releasing a new Nike Air Max 1 Ultra in the OG "Varsity Blue" colorway. The Air Max 1 Ultra looks very similar to the standard Air Max 1. However, Nike uses its modern construction practices to design the shoe with a one-piece upper, rather than the multi-panel construction of the original Air Max 1. The single piece construction reduces the weight of the shoe, and (arguably) increases the comfort as it fits more like a sock. The color blocking is left the same for a true "OG" feel. The "Varsity Blue" is one of two original Air Max 1 colorways, the other is a white and "Sport Red".
The last days of March and earliest days of April is when Japan celebrates the blooming of the cherry blossom in a celebration known as Hanami. Nike Sportswear is taking the opportunity to reference Japan’s transient love of the beauty of flowers with a new
nike air max 1 homme release that sees a subtle white leather mudguard and Swoosh accented by a water color-esque array of cherry blossom graphics throughout. The cherry blossoms are most apparent on the heel panel while the graphic gets a bit blurrier to give way to a sky blue accent by the toe. It’s an original look despite the Air Max 1 frequently giving us flower inspirations in women’s exclusive releases. What do you think of the pair?
APC’s Nike Air Max 1 collaborations have the benefit of craftsmanship and exclusivity but in case you missed out on the famed French denim company’s takes on Tinker Hatfield’s iconic running model, similar looks usually land on general releases shortly thereafter. This “Phantom” Air Max 1 is a prime example of mirroring APC’s 2013 take with a tonal Sail upper cleanly resting atop a classic gum outsole. Simple and subtle, this GR is perfect for everyday use once the snow and slush clears up in the new year.
